Why it exists
Recurring parts of game production require repeated setup and manual work when every game is treated as a completely separate development process.
Build a reusable production system that makes recurring game-development work more systematic and consistent while keeping human review and decision-making in the process.
Workflow
- 01
Idea / specification
Define the game concept, intended experience, scope and acceptance criteria before implementation begins.
- 02
Reusable systems, content and assets
Select and adapt shared foundations, conventions, content structures and assets that fit the project.
- 03
Implementation
Build the game-specific features and integrate them with the reusable foundation.
- 04
Automated checks
Run repeatable checks that identify technical, content and packaging problems early.
- 05
Review and QA
Review the result, test the experience and make human decisions about what should change or proceed.
- 06
Packaging and release
Prepare a reviewed build and the supporting release materials for the intended platform.
The production system
Reusable foundations. Game Factory brings together reusable game-development components, project conventions, content and asset structures, and repeatable delivery steps. The aim is to reduce repeated setup work without forcing every game into the same design.
Automation and AI assistance. Automation and AI-assisted execution and checking can support parts of the workflow. Their output is reviewed in context, with testing and release decisions remaining human responsibilities.
Relationship with IVBUL GAMES. IVBUL GAMES is the public studio and game surface. Game Factory is the production system being developed behind that work; they are connected, but they are not the same thing.
What is being made reusable
Current state and limitations
- Game Factory is currently being developed and the workflow is still evolving through practical use.
- Automation and AI-assisted steps support implementation and review; they do not replace human review, testing or release decisions.
- The system is not presented as a complete product or as an autonomous game-creation service.
Next steps
- Refine the reusable project foundations, conventions and content structures.
- Expand automated checks and document where human review is required.
- Apply and evaluate the workflow across current IVBUL GAMES development.
